Today marks the 3 year anniversary of my book RVA playlist and the 1 year anniversary of the Deluxe Edition. Thank you to everyone who has bought a copy, told me they liked it, shared it with friends, and harassed me about when another book is coming out. It meant the world to me.
Local hip-hop is so under appreciated. Love what these guys are doing.
Bill was such a force for the music community. I hosted “Global A Go-Go” for him once and was terrified because I knew nothing about world music. He told me that world music was just “local music from someplace else.” I did a world music tour on my show and it’s probably one of my favorites ever.
