After 5 years of not getting the rona, today —while in the carline to pick up my small person— I got it. We get home, I test him—also positive.
Me: “Buddy we actually got Covid so I think we stay home for a bit.”
D: “is it omnomnomicron?”
Me: “🤷🏼‍♀️” I can’t correct him, it was too cute.

D: “you know, he’s probably orange because he won’t last much longer?”
Me, trying to follow this logic: “because he is getting old?”
D: “Bruh. He’s 83. Humans only live to 100, so he just has 17 left.”
D: “Also, he could have jaundice.”

D: “Mama, did you use orange to write “president’s day” on the calendar because the president is orange?”
Me: “…maybe.”
D: “that’s inappropriate.”
Me: “Probably.”
