I was living in Israel between 1983 and 1985. I went swimming in the Dead Sea just about where those people are pitching their sun shades in the photo. That's how much the water level has sunk. Now, there are probably sink holes there and the water is even further out.

She does this all the time. The neighbours are talking, "We see your poor little Lizzy sitting before your door every day". It's a wonder the animal protection people haven't paid us a visit. 🤨

Not just in Berlin. I have run across the same thing in other parts of Germany, noticeably in the Bavarian Alps. I tried ordering a meal once in German, in a German restaurant. The waitress said in a singsong voice "I can't understaaaand yooooo, speak English." So we left.

I mix a seed mixture with something called Fettfutter (fat feed). And there are tallow balls. But, you are right, the sunflower seeds always end up on the floor. Funny enough though, they are always almost all gone by the morning. 🐀🐿🦔🐦‍⬛
