Not just in Berlin. I have run across the same thing in other parts of Germany, noticeably in the Bavarian Alps. I tried ordering a meal once in German, in a German restaurant. The waitress said in a singsong voice "I can't understaaaand yooooo, speak English." So we left.

I mix a seed mixture with something called Fettfutter (fat feed). And there are tallow balls. But, you are right, the sunflower seeds always end up on the floor. Funny enough though, they are always almost all gone by the morning. 🐀🐿🦔🐦‍⬛
