IMPORTANT reminder for when you print zines:

Set your printer to "Scale: 100%"

Many printers automatically resize to 94% or something, which will shrink the image and give you weird borders when you fold the zine.

Every two years we have to buy new fitted sheets (dachshund probs) and every two years the last sheets we loved no longer exist.

“Prohibited words and concepts: Equity, diversity, & inclusion; anti-racism; Bias; Critical race theory; implicit bias; oppression; intersectionality; prohibited discriminatory practices; racial privilege; promoting stereotypes based on personal identity characteristics.”

This week, I withdrew from a speaking engagement at a public university because they sent me a list of prohibited “words & concepts.” I will not humor this censorship. It does a disservice to the stories I’m discussing & the audience, who deserve unfettered access to information & conversation.

A world without transgender people has never existed and never will.

To all transgender people out there: You are not alone.

Clap during the break? A true fan would never. Some of us have been listening to this band for 30+ years and it shows 😂

The audience knows the song, but not enough to remember the hugely cathartic breakdown at the end. My body can not release. The song was unfinished. This is SUCH a salient point re: GGDs fandom & Rzeznik's complicated relationship to us.

Cutting off the end of Iris is violence. Shame on the people in the NPR newsroom who clapped.

TBH this is making me want to revive my GGDs book.
