This painting by Rogier van der Weyden (from google) is one of the most moving paintings I’ve ever seen. I am not religious, but this painting fills me with overwhelming emotion. The sorrow of the subjects in this painting is palpable. I cannot stand in front of this painting with dry eyes.

Tournai, Belgium… the current stop on my bike tour. It’s more than I expected.

We just went to a well-stocked liquor store in Montreal. They had wine and spirits from around the world… except the US. American products were removed due to tariffs.
