Random POTD Matt Othick. Scrappy Arizona PG was undrafted in 92. Signed w/SA in 92 & made the teamout of camp. Played in 4 games in November 92 (2 ppg in 10 mpg) before being waived 11/19/92, ending NBA career. Played in CBA thru 98. Worked in film production & restaurants after.

Hollander POTD Cliff Robinson. USC F was drafted was drafted 11th in 1979 by NJ. Good athlete averaged double double 2 seasons and 18+ ppg 5x. Bounced around a lot but always consistent thru retirement in 1992. Sorta forgotten due to emergence of Uncle Cliffy.

Hollinger POTD Bobby Jackson. Minnesota PG was drafted 23rd in 97. Spent 1st 3 yrs as low end bench player before being star 6th man for SAC from 00-05, winning 6MOY in 02-03 (15 ppg). Score 1st PG was great at getting points. Lasted thru 09. Also elbowed KG in the head.
Bonus Hollander POTD Grant Long. 2nd round pick by expansion MIA in 88 started at PF for 6 yrs before trade to ATL in 94. Hustler/banger who was undersized for a 90s PF. Peaked at 15 ppg in 91-92. After MIA, bench guy for DET, MEM/VAN + BOS thru 2003.
Hollander POTD JR Rider. SG from UNLV taken 5th in 93 by MIN. Great leaper/scorer but was hard to deal w/at times. Had 19+ ppg 4x. Traded to POR in 96, he was still good but was flipped to ATL in 99. Quickly flamed out in ATL, LA + DEN before career ended in 02 at age 30.

Hollinger POTD Martynas Andriuskevicius. Lithuanian C was drafted 44th in 05 by ORL traded on draft day to CLE. Very thin & raw, played only 9 minutes as a rook. Was seriously injured in a practice brawl & never played in NBA after 06. Played abroad thru 2019. Now works as a coder.
Bonus Hollander POTD Greg Butler. 4 year starter at Stanford was drafted 37th by NY in 88. Was Pitino's human victory cigar, playing only 4 mpg in 33 games as a rook. Played a few more games w/NY & LAC thru 91 before dropping out of the NBA. Now coaches hoops in Connecticut.
McMillian is Columbia's best NBA player still. They were good but only made the Tourney his sophomore year (67-68) on a team with two future pros...
Hollander POTD Jim McMillian. Brooklyn kid starred at Columbia + then drafted 13th by LAL in 1970. Famously replaced an injured Elgin in 71-72, helping spur big streak. Traded to BUF in 73 + was solid still. Wore down by 76. Left NBA for Italy in 79 at age 30. Died in 2016. RIP.
