Had to fill out a routine anxiety questionnaire at my doctor and its like I live in the US in 2025 and attended a family wedding this past weekend, of course I've anxious in the past 2 weeks.

Being a historian who gets to study women in trades can be rewarding, especially as a way to understand "how did we get here?"
But it's also a lot of me grinding my teeth as I read about how women have been pared down, erased, ignored because some men can't bear to have women compete with them.

I will say, I don't quite understand the cover?? Why not show someone actually working with wood??? Show women being active in the work this book discusses? Not just, whatever parkour nonsense this is.

When we get new books in the library at work, we have a system to request to be the first to check it out.

Yeah I've got a table that is wide enough if my 44"wide fabric is folded in half lengthwise, but big skirts thwart me still. My ultimate goal is to have some kind of big cutting table someday that should be able to handle anything.

I am so grateful to finally have a craft room where I can lay out fabric and cut out patterns on the floor without having to contort myself around furniture.
I'm also more in love with this fabric than ever. This is going to be a wrap dress with a lovely full skirt.

Oh to once again be at the point in my life and humanity where final exams were my biggest concern.
