For some reason having an actual number, having it be something my brain accepts as non-arbitrary, and adding the daily count to the spreadsheet calendar to make the day's color change is working a lot better than literally anything else I've tried for the last couple years (3/x)
I got distracted before I remembered to add the important bit. My word goal for the day isn't "literally anything" bc that's not tangible enough to defeat my #executivedysfunction
The daily goal is "words at least equal to the numerical day of the month" (2/x)

I got really into the Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels series! Did a combo of ebooks and audiobooks, absolutely loved the Graphic Audio Productions readings ๐ฅฐ
Back in November 2023 a switch flipped in my brain and I started reading like I was in highschool again ๐โค๏ธ So 2024's goal was 100 books with 50% being new reads
Results: 103 books and 72% is the best my creative brain has felt in a while โจ
This year...I think it's time to start writing daily again
Itโs so fun to have a true, genuine folk hero emerge in 2024. A mysterious stranger whose action represents the frustrations, hopes, and dreams of the people. I hope we never learn anything more about him.
