Part of our induction before starting work “on the buses” in Sydney decades ago was being told to pronounce it “rowt” rather than “root”. Seemed like commonsense to all of us “conductresses”.

There is no way Albo could join any group of “hot world leaders”. He’s way younger than me, but looks like all of my uncles from the 1950s.

“If the shoe fits, buy them in every colour”….Seen on a coffee mug in the cathedral shop in Canterbury UK, but really good advice. Always regretted not buying the mug….
Mum had 6 sisters so the combinations are pretty numerous. On the basis that she talked to them endlessly every single day, probably EssieBelle. But then also maybe IdaEil, or at a pinch AnnMary (not MaryAnn, she hardly ever talked to Mary)

Ahh, that’s interesting, and makes sense. He was treated at a local nurse-led walk-in centre.
His “contempt” for a particular group of Australians. Who the f*ck does Albanese think he is to have contempt for ANY Australians?
Discovered recently that the back of my teenage grandson’s scalp was superglued together after an axe throwing accident. Hadn’t realised that superglue was originally developed for medical use, or that’s what his dad said, possibly to calm me down. Who knew axe throwing was a thing?
