The armed-conflict between India & Pakistan has not only proliferated the war-mongering narratives from both sides nation-state but also has made a dent on citizen”s ability in their state to exercise free speech with reasoned articulation to demand accountability from their governments.

This is not about playing devils advocate, but about showing where one intends to stand when demands for solidarity are sought by the oppressed social groups of religious minorities.

The uncritical comparison between prosecution of oppressed social groups specifically religious minorities to knowingly or unknowingly appease majoritarian religious sentiments is morally and ethically wrong.

There is a very problematic trend in today’s thinking and reflecting on past historical events from medieval history among the people from progressive social movements.
