I hadn't realised Edinburgh's Oktoberfest had been cancelled due to strong winds. As the organisers had no relevant insurance more than 7,000 litres of 'beer', thousands of bratwurst and schnitzel, and much more were destroyed. www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/edinbur...

A politician of honour and conviction, sadly modern politics has so few of those. I suspect active politicians of 20 or 30 years ago would not now recognise the parties they stood for. Politics changes but, sadly, not always for the better.
