For early readers I like the NIrV Adventure Bible. It’s very readable for younger and middle grades. For slightly older kids into middle school, I like Deep Blue. Great characters. I like the Colaborate series for confirmation age.

I really love weightlifting, and our local Gold’s Gym has some really encouraging trainers. Several seniors with limited mobility were in my group fitness classes. Hoping for a positive experience for you! I just was telling my husband the same thing: to get a trainer so he doesn’t hurt himself.

My last church had several retired pastors, and they were so great at community care and visitations and did a lot of funerals. It was meaningful because they had the longtime relationships. Some of my closest ministry friends and mentors.
