I'm looking forward to this concert, as the combination of saxophone and polyphony is powerful and ethereal.

A promotional flyer from The City of Oxford Choir announcing that their SATB music library is seeking a new home. The top features the choir’s logo, followed by text describing the library as a large, well‑organised collection of around 400 SATB choral works stored in about 100 labelled A4 boxes, each containing roughly 40 copies. The flyer explains that the collection requires about 10 metres of shelving and invites choirs or organisations to get in touch about sharing storage. At the bottom are four small photos showing stacks of neatly labelled archive boxes on shelves and in storage spaces. The flyer includes a web link for more information and an email address for contact: librarian@oxfordchoir.org.

We are seeking a new home for our library and are interested in sharing this valuable resource with other choirs or organisations in return for helping with storage. If you can help, we would love to hear from you. Please contact librarian@oxfordchoir.org.

I'm really looking forward to singing in this concert, such an evocative combination of choir and saxophone.

A calm, fog‑shrouded lake with a tiny tree‑covered island at its centre. The trees form a dark silhouette against the pale mist, and their reflection appears softly in the still water. The background is almost entirely obscured by fog, creating a quiet, minimalist, and atmospheric scene.

A foggy, rather beautiful walk at Blenheim Palace today.

33-19 win for England over New Zealand. I would not have predicted that. Fantastic performance and result, with opportunity to grow.

Modern Students' Union building with large windows and a sign reading "WELCOME TO YOUR STUDENTS' UNION". In front, a rectangular fountain with a central water jet is surrounded by cobblestones, benches, and greenery, creating a welcoming campus atmosphere. Interior view of a university lobby with several people gathered around a table on the left. A string of international flags hangs overhead, including those of Senegal, Japan, Somalia, Wales, and Bhutan. The space features promotional signage such as “Small class sizes and one-to-one support.” Through the glass revolving doors, a sign for “University of Gloucestershire” and “Fitness” is visible, indicating proximity to a campus fitness centre. University campus scene featuring a modern halls of residence with students walking in the door and a modern building labelled "SU" with a prominent blue logo and "WELCOME TO YOUR UNION" signage. A central fountain with a vertical water jet is surrounded by paved walkways, benches, and landscaped greenery.

What an excellent way to start Saturday: welcoming new students to their accommodation at our splendid Oxstalls Campus after rising a phenomenal 32 places in @theguardian.com UK universities rankings.

Teal-colored booklet titled "Honorary Awards Ceremony" resting on a wooden surface, partially illuminated by sunlight. The cover features a crest and text describing the event to honour Certificate of Education graduates. Date and location: Friday 9 September 2005, The University Chapel of St Mary and St Paul, Francis Close Hall, Cheltenham. Large group of people inside a white, draped-ceiling tent during a graduation celebration. Attendees in academic gowns and mortarboards mingle, take photos, and socialise. Tables and chairs are visible in the background. Interior of the grand chapel at Francis Close Hall with timber-beam ceiling and arched windows. View down the central aisle shows attendees seated in pews, facing a decorated altar with stained glass and chandeliers. The floor features a black-and-white checkered pattern. Graduates and guests gathered outside the historic stone chapel at Francis Close Hall with Gothic architecture. People in academic regalia and formal attire line up to enter, bathed in warm late-afternoon sunlight that highlights the building’s detailed stonework.

A very special day yesterday, when we conferred honorary Bachelors of Education degrees on our alumni from the 50s to the 80s. It really is a privilege to be part of this wonderful family.

We've moved into our new City Campus, and it's looking and feeling amazing. Some finishing touches left, but soon the first @uniofglos.bsky.social students will arrive and it's going to be phenomenal.

Life at UoG: Meaningful Work, Real Connections YouTube video by University of Gloucestershire

It's hard to capture what makes the University of Gloucestershire an inspiring place to work, where connections and a willingness to get involved are the hallmarks of how we support each other, but this lovely bunch of colleagues give it a go in this new video. #TeamGlos 💙

I've been singing with @oxfordchoir.org for... well, quite a while now and this is the first time we've sung with a professional orchestra. If the phenomenal programme weren't enough on its own, that partnership puts it beyond doubt that this concert is one not to miss.

This is an unusual one for @oxfordchoir.org, as we're singing with a professional orchestra. And what a programme! It includes Haydn's Nelson Mass, one of his most dramatic and powerful sacred works. This is Duncan explaining why it's featured in this rare concert.

He may have still won, true, but Piastri was never going to catch Verstappen with the tyre differential they had whereas Norris might have. By the time Norris passed Piastri the race was over.

The safety car made that race today. It would have been 😴 without it. McLaren opted to let Verstappen win by not releasing Norris from behind Piastri at the end. Good recovery from Hamilton. And how good have Williams become?! Great to see them so much nearer the top 4.
