Yesterday I had a pleasant exchange with a stranger on Reddit and it’s tiny little instances like that that keep my faith in humanity.
My mom’s birthday gift thank you rule was if we were able to open the gift in front of the giver and thank them verbally in-person, a handwritten thank you wasn’t necessary. If we opened a birthday gift and the giver was not present, we either had to call them or send a handwritten thank you.

Experiencing debilitating back pain the past couple days has made me incredibly thankful for being able to lay on my side tonight. Who knew vacuuming then bending over to move a bath mat could cause 24 hrs of back pain so bad that I needed assistance to stand, sit, and walk.
Fire and earth sign quarterbacks seem to always win against an air or water sign (with the exception of sometimes Aquarius [air]) in the Super Bowl.
Based on that, I’m predicting (and optimistically hoping for) Niners v. Patriots in Super Bowl LX. If it’s not the Niners, it’ll be the Rams.
