76% of CPS cases 'unfounded' in Monroe County, cost taxpayers $13.76 million, report says
Of the 6,768 Child Protective Services investigations in Monroe County in 2024, 76% were unfounded with no abuse or neglect, according to a report.
Being “unfounded” doesn’t equate no actual abuse for so many abuses cases are dismissed and minimized! Instead of naming abuse, the cases get closed. Look at #TommyValva. The cost of ongoing abuse is millions to countries, death of children & leads to generational abuse.
