Old comic from 2023. Featuring my WoL, Elodie Aurifort, and Gaius Baelsar from Final Fantasy XIV. Set after the The Sorrow of Werlyt Questline in Shadowbringers. (Heavy Baelfort vibes) PAGE 1 -[PANEL 1] Elodie sitting next to Gaius on a bench at Terncliff, he looks down at his hands. Something weighing heavy on his heart. "It was brief, but I was able to speak with Alfonse..." The words fumble from his lips, "I apologized for failing him, swore that I would make sure his dreams were fulfilled." [PANEL 2] Gaius' eyes fixate on his hand, "Such a vow hardly rectifies the pain & injustice his siblings & him endured, but it was the most I could muster." [PANEL 3] "Considering how we departed at Ghimlyt Dark, I was prepared for him to reaffirm my failure." Elodie doesn't break her gaze, she hears this confession, it's the least she can do. [PANEL 4] The view shifts to a view of Gaius & Elodie on the bench from behind. "But instead... Despite everything..." Gaius' voice cracks, "He told me that he was proud to call himself my son."

PAGE 2 - [PANEL 5] Gaius' fist tightens, he is thrown back to that moment; his final goodbye to Alfonse. He failed them all, and yet... [PANEL 6] Elodie balls her hands into fists, steeling herself in preparation, "G-Gaius..." [PANEL 7] "I know you can only take me at my word, but--" she has to tell him, grant him this kindness and put this broken man's heart at ease, "Please know that your children loved you dearly!" She grabs his hand without thinking. [PANEL 8] Gaius furrows his brow, he refuses to accept empty words of pity and answer her with a bark, "HOW WOULD--" [PANEL 9] "BECAUSE I FELT THAT LOVE IN EVERY SINGLE MEMORY I EXPERIENCED!" She feels her eyes sting.

Mermaid/Sailor AU because this is a leftover from Mermay. My WoL, Elodie Aurifort, as a mermaid, with Gaius Baelsar as a sailor. Elodie is lying on the ground underneath Gaius, her finger underneath his chin as her fish tail bumps him in a teasing fashion. He scowls knowing she's attempting to reel him in and he is determined to not fall for it. Background is in the style of an Ivan Yakovlevich Bilibin illustration. A school of fish decorating the outside of the borders. Characters from Final Fantasy XIV. (Baelfort vibes)

Continuing things from the pervious image, Elodie lifting her upper body, now has her arms wrapped around Gaius' neck, implications that she whispering something in his ear. His face somewhat flushed, you can see one arm supporting his upper body for balance while the other holds one of the arms wrapping around his neck; his gaze looking down and past her. Elodie's mermaid tail begins to whip itself around to the foreground. More fish have joined the border of the edges.

The finale, those whispers have converted to implied neck kisses. Gaius' face is completely flushed, he closes his eyes and accepts his fate of falling for this siren's lure. (Some fisherman, am I right?) The hand he used to support his body is now wrapped around Elodie's torso. Her mermaid tail has fulling whipped itself around them. She has successfully reeled in her catch. Even more fish have joined the border of the edges, a plethora even!

Mixed Media piece of Sphene from FFXIV. A barely visible drawing of Endless Sphene is under the head of Sphene crying. Over that is another drawing of the Endless smiling eerily. Little pieces of tissue paper are glued over in a way to emulate a glitch effect or a corrupted graphics card. Clearly a very well adjusted person would glue these tiny pieces of paper in place. Also glitter because the artist must really love the idea of suffering with the consequences of glitter. Once again, very well adjusted individual drew this.
