I know it's probably unfair of me to make assumptions before the game is even out, but I've yet to play a gacha game that could change my mind on the genre. Sorry for rambling, I just needed to vent/rant for a bit.

It's frustrating to see such love and consideration for the Final Fantasy series, and yet see it wrapped up in micro-transactions and gambling. To say nothing of the inevitable end of service. I mean, how many gacha games has Square Enix canned now? Do we really think this one will go any better?

in the future, Papalymo getting to see Lyse embrace her true self; it's great stuff that never would have made it into a proper console/pc title, and I'm sure this new entry will have much of the same. That said, I wish there was literally any other way to get those moments than another gacha game.

I have very mixed feelings about the new #Dissidia game. On the one hand, I've seen from watching Opera Omnia cutscenes how a mobile game could be perfect for giving a spotlight to lesser known Final Fantasy characters. Noel and Ultimecia bonding over their shared experience of living in isolation

At the start, Jon was more of a self-insert, to the point that his first name is a shortened version of my own. But as I played more of FFXIV, and got more invested in my wol, I've ended up separating me and Jon more and more.

It's because she's missing the Valentione tights.

Jon and Lyse are very competitive. They spar, race, etc. to so who's better at the moment. Of course, it's all in good fun, and neither of them take a loss to the other very hard.

I can't be the only one who sees it. They're practically in the same pose, too!

Jon's only remaining family are his aunt and cousin, who did not even have a chance to meet Jon until he helped liberate them and the rest of Ala Mhigo from Garlean occupation. It's hard to not be supportive after that.

For G'raha, yes. As for Y'shtola, Jon might call her Shtola if the two were having a very serious and personal discussion, or some other situation where that familiarity would be welcome. But he wouldn't call her Shtola in casual conversation.
