Across Q2 2025 31 056 excess deaths were registered:
9 283 in April, 9 598 in May, and 12 175 in June (Figure 2). This compares with 17 462 in Q2 2024, underlining a rise at European level.

At national level, Germany (14 195), Spain (7 939), and France (7 591) recorded the largest numbers!

Aktuelle Corona-Infektionen Das aktuelle Corona-Krankheitsaufkommen in Deutschland beträgt schätzungsweise 1228 Fälle pro 100.000 Einwohner, was bedeutet, dass ca. eine von 57 Personen derzeit akut infiziert ist (angenommen sind Ø 10 Tage Infektionsdauer). Das Robert-Koch-Institut (RKI) meldet eine auf meldepflichtigen PCR-Tests basierte Inzidenz von 8, wobei auf jede offiziell registrierte Infektion etwa 139 weitere unentdeckte Fälle entfallen – eine erhebliche Dunkelziffer. Die auf dem GrippeWeb-Wochenbericht basierte Inzidenz aller Atemwegserkrankungen beträgt 9316, was bedeutet, dass ca. eine von 11 Personen derzeit akut infiziert ist (angenommen sind Ø 7 Tage Infektionsdauer). Stand: 18.10.2025.
