05.06.2025 18:51 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hartmetz signed a 1-year deal, but then was released and added to the teamβs reserve. Iβm not clear yet on if a team retains RFA status if the player is released at one point. Iβll try to confirm that tomorrow

Sceptres G Raygan Kirk was placed on LTIR on April 7. Sheβs not anticipated to back up the rest of the regular season, but is expected to be available for Game 1.
Toronto will do whatβs best for Kristen Campbell entering the playoffs. Could get all 3 starts or may get a game off

Sarah Fillier retakes the PWHL scoring lead with a primary assist and an empty-net goal vs. Minnesota. She's up to 10 goals and 25 points in her rookie campaign.
Fillier already has the rookie scoring record and is one goal from tying Grace Zumwinkle's mark of 11 goals last year
A massive win for the New York Sirens over Minnesota tonight.
It's the Sirens' first regulation win since Jan. 27, ending a 10-game drought without a 3-point victory. Gives them a little life going into this stretch run
Detroit has broken the U.S. attendance record for a professional women's hockey game with 14,288 fans at Little Caesars Arena for Frost-Sirens.
It's the fourth time that the PWHL has broken this record.
Minor update here: Ella Shelton is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury, per the Sirens

Ex-Toronto Sceptres defender Lauren Bernard draws in for her New York debut.
Hilary Knight takes the PWHL lead in scoring with a 3-point game against the Ottawa Charge today.
She now has more goals (12) than she had points (11) last season. Superb bounceback campaign for Knight.
Switzerland announced its roster for the Women's Worlds, headlined by Alina Muller and Lara Stalder.
A very young group featuring eight teenagers. Average age is under 23. Laure Meriguet named to the roster at just 16 years old, she's playing in Switzerland's U17 men's league
PWHL co-top scorer Hannah Miller submitted a request to play for Canada to the IIHF, per Troy Ryan. Miller has played for China but was born in B.C.
Ryan said there's "definitely a possibility" she could play for Canada and is in consideration for the Worlds, pending approval.
Sarah Nurse remains in Torontoβs return-to-play protocol but has been an active participant in practice drills today. Looks like she isnβt far away
14.03.2025 15:47 β π 9 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Kaitlin Willoughby is pretty much exactly what you want in a 13th forward. Impressive speed, works hard, knows her role. Can chip in on a PK unit. Great person.
Anna Kjellbin is experienced but didn't have great results in Montreal. Gives Toronto a needed 3rd RHD option.

Itβll be a McCaw Cup rematch on Saturday. U of T shuts out Guelph 4-0 to advance to the OUA final against Waterloo. Both division winners - Nipissing and Guelph - lost in the semis.
The Warriors upset the Varsity Blues last year. This time around, Waterloo is the higher seed.

Troy Ryan on the Sceptresβ win vs. Montreal:
βThatβs 3 points that a lot of teams right now are not getting. So it feels like a 3-point win against the league. It just feels like you just separated by 3 points from everybody when you beat the top team in the league.β
Jesse Compher on making the U.S. roster:
"I knew from the second I was left off that first Worlds roster after being on it for consecutive years that I wanted to get back on that roster. I have one goal in mind: In 2026, I want to be in Milan. That starts with this Worlds."
The declaration period for the 2025 PWHL Draft begins today. Prospective players can declare for the draft until May 8.
The top of the draft is much more unclear this year as Abbey Murphy and Lacey Eden still have NCAA eligibility, plus the wild card of Europeans and expansion.

Last year: 24 GP, 1 G, 5 PTS, 31 SOG
