When you, as a victim SSC was attempting to help, perpetuated lies and vitriol so only YOU could speak on the matter — under the threat of legal enforcements and public backlash — they have every right to disprove their claims (like how YOU did the same).

You are the exception, not the good kind.

That event made me lose a large amount of my drive and interest in this community. The damage caused both directly to those attacked and indirectly to others was massive. You just didn't hear about it because everyone was keeping quiet to try and protect themselves. I know I'm far from the only one.

Honestly I stepped back from a lot of events post this too. It was quite a scary time for org leaders and TOs

When this happened, there was so much panic behind the scenes that never saw the public eye. Many TOs no longer felt safe running their events, knowing that there was intentional harm done to try and attack the SSC, that does all of its volunteer work to help in keeping the scene safer, and TOs.

Selfishly, I'd have preferred that SSC wait for me to make a statement of my own 1st, but, for the sake of saving SSC as an institution, waiting til I was able to speak out may not have been an option. It seems the doubt she's dishonestly cast on SSC forced their hand

Quality of the video itself can carry a bit since some people will watch regardless and then the more of them like it, the more it gets recommended, but yeah, there's a school of thought that you make the video with title/thumbnail in mind before you ever start.

It must be a really fun job coming up with titles for splashtags. The inspiration can come from anywhere. You see some YouTube polyglot video and roll your eyes but then you realize WAIT! and then you go into work the next day and add "polyglot" to the game of Splatoon.
