Unity Conejo's mission compels us to stand against any measure that promotes exclusion or compromise at the expense of marginalized communities.

We call on educational leaders across the state to resist policies that treat transgender students as second-class. All young peopleβincluding transgender youthβdeserve access to sports programs that affirm who they are and foster belonging.

This policy is not rooted in fairness, but in fearβa knee-jerk response to escalating political pressure that threatens the civil rights of transgender students. By creating a "third category," CIF undermines the lived identities of trans youth and sets a dangerous precedent.

As an organization committed to the dignity, safety, and full inclusion of LGBTQ+ youth, Unity Conejo strongly opposes the California Interscholastic Federation's recent policy shift that effectively segregates transgender athletes from their peers.
