I'm actually kind of shocked that one of the iterations of Trek with Holodecks didn't go into this idea more--that so many people would want to use it to play out power or psychopathic fantasies. There were episodes that dealt with addiction, but not that obvious problem.

During WWII, the UK hosted governments in exile of France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Luxembourg, Norway, Yugoslavia, and Poland after all of them were conquered by the Nazis.

Point is, recognition of a state does not rely on a state of peace or controlling any land.

Nothing says "all the shit we are doing is totally legal" by having to offer special incentive payments to hire people who will actually defend it in court.

It's also really funny that he suggests that James Comey controlled the Epstein files. James Comey was fired in 2017 and Epstein was arrested in 2019, more than two years later.
