If we have had this kind of winter and you still can’t find it within you to clean off your *whole* car (top and headlights included), you don’t belong on the road.
Shoutout to red line driver (car 7051) who is clearly orchestrating a complex turnaround back to Glenmont from Farragut North (he just ran from one end of the train to the other). Clear communication, good work. @wmata.com
What a moment.
one of the gofundme campaigns sent to me today is only trying to raise $1,600 and has a horrific story of an experience of a Hmong elder.
they've only raised $10.
Same tho
Only took 417 years for Virginia to elect a woman as governor
So they didn’t like the ad. Let’s just post Reagan’s 5 min speech against tariffs as it appears on YouTube.
Over and over. On all platforms (some of y’all are still on X).

Thank you, @kamlager-dove.house.gov and @repjohnnyo.bsky.social for your leadership! There is still time for OMB to release the FY25 awards.

July 10 is a bad day for my little state. My home in the Northeast Kingdom. I was there for the flooding last year and it was devastating. Thinking of everyone impacted this year.
I have eaten an entire party sized container of Oreos this week, if that's any indication of how things are going.

Self, Spartz, Clyde, Massie, and Fitzpatrick
As long as the vote is open, people can switch their votes. I’m sure there’s some mad wrangling going on right now. Current nos are Self, Spartz, Clyde, Massie, and Fitzpatrick. Spartz at least is one who is known to fold.
Can you explain the difference between the first vote they just had and the second vote HFC is vowing to tank? My House rules knowledge is not what it should be.
I’m confused now. Probably cause I don’t know House rules. Just got an alert saying that HFC isn’t voting on the rule tonight at all and they recommended to leadership that they bring it up tomorrow. I need the over/under from a smarter person on what just happened 😅
Yeah, everyone will stay now until final passage. My question is, are any of those who voted yes on the rule still a no on the bill?
Massie and Roy are definite Nos on the rule. There are two left and I’m not sure who they are. Johnson only needs one of them.
I went to pick up my toddler at daycare, took a walk with him in the neighborhood, had dinner, did bath time and bedtime, and that vote is still open 🙃
I have no idea... my Hill experience is a decade old. I have no insight into the dynamics of this House other than it's an extremely toxic place to be for everyone who is there. I think it goes 1 of 2 ways: the HFC doubles down and forces H/S to go to conference, or they fold.
They can't close the vote yet... they need to get to 217! My Senate gal know-how is showing with my lack of knowledge of House stuff.
It's interesting to me that they're not just closing the vote. I got a text alert saying that leadership told members to go back to their offices and that HFC members are talking with the White House. Wild times.
Who are the 7? Could any of those add to the No side?
