I have friends who saw people killed in bombings. We now have the Good Friday Agreement which is teetering on the edge because of Brexit. It’s not really very funny.

I actually first saw a response to the post which was quite an inflammatory image given the history between the UK and Ireland. Sorry, but I think the responsibility for posting what’s quite a contentious image about an area with recent conflict, with no explanation, maybe lies with the poster.

It’s really not you know - everyone else’s responses are confused too. If it means that England is to Ireland as Cuba is to the USA, on account of us being isolated, the communist flag is so misplaced as to be hilarious.

Oh, there’s also no gas to the village and the cottage is solid stone and uninsulated so the heating is bottled gas that doesn’t really do much! We use piles of duvets and have insulated blankets we hide under to watch tv at night. Winter is a bit like a constant camp-out.

An almost silent village. Right now all I can hear are birds. We don’t have any street lighting and external lights are discouraged so the skies at night are amazing and the nocturnal wildlife is very happy. It’s heaven really.

I bought one in Somerset which was cheaper than a small flat in Bristol. It’s tiny and cold but I love it.

Soz, brit comic fan here. Dredd is from 2000AD comic which is responsible for some of the great artists and writers. It was technically aimed at kids but tackled very political and tough subjects for it’s time. An extremely important comic for the industry.

But it’s a comic! Quite a subtly political one too.

One of those old hot air poppers. I’ve no idea where I bought it but it will have been for my now adult kids to have proper popcorn. You just dump raw beans in and watch and wait and listen for the crack. It’s VERY messy. The chaff goes everywhere. Pics are before and after. I like a light roast.

Sage Bambino machine, Sage Dose Control Pro grinder and a 20 year old once white now yellow with age popcorn machine for roasting!

I roast my own but I’m quite secretive about it.
