I can just imagine what a non news story it would be for the media too

I really feel that the whole “we can’t say we are over 1.5°c until it’s been 10yrs, 20yrs” thing is so illustrative of that.
As a scientist I totally get it, but as a climate campaigner waiting ten years to say it with 100% confidence feels pointless.

It’s no longer acceptable for scientists to sit on the fence Last week I concluded my review of the year by writing “I hope 2025 is the year people worldwide wake up to the multiple threats we are facing and start to act accordingly.” Maybe my wish for the year is beginning to be fulfilled. This week the media has been full of the horrendous wildfires in Los Angeles. I don’t want to downplay how horrendous these events are and any loss of life is dreadful.

The annoying thing is she’s really good on flooding ( we are coastal and have had two major flood events in the last couple of years) but she doesn’t yet see the link between flooding and climate change, or land/nature use

My MP is a new Labour MP, I’ve been trying to get her to back the CAN Bill since before she was elected. It’s a great Bill and oven ready so I don’t understand why some Labour MPs are not representing their constituents over it.
