I’m realizing that when we talk about studies on social media or in convo, we rarely mention NIH. People aren’t making the connection.
So when posting or talking about some amazing study that was funded by the NIH, be sure to refer to it as an “NIH-funded study.”

Elon Musk tweet: We spent the wekend feeding USAID
Imagine you were the richest man in the world. You could have anything you wanted, go anywhere you wished, do whatever took you fancy. How would you spend your weekend? Depriving the poorest people in the world of food and healthcare and boasting about it?

I do feel this Dan, and as Mark said also feel betrayed by our leadership. In discussions with some Canadian friends we seem to agree that we can’t allow a crazy leader impact our interactions and friendships, and certainly not the science that unites us.

Wow. If this is accurate, it’s reckless and potentially catastrophic
no supplies for clinical trials, animal husbandry, cell culture, liquid nitrogen for cryostorage….

This is very sad. I have trained several folks through the NIH diversity supplement mechanism.
And now poof! it is gone.
