It’s just so out-of-whack: too many people live homeless in this country where 25 percent of the house sales nationally last year were investors

25.07.2025 23:35 — 👍 26 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This has been looming for a while but is still awful. Mass detention of the homeless in concentration camps happened in many countries in the interwar period, including Nazi Germany. The US tendency toward this was why I talked to @brian-goldstone.bsky.social in January, hoping to provide a warning.

Thank you Brad

23.07.2025 19:52 — 👍 14 🔁 4 💬 0 📌 1I'd suggest that threatening tenants who are *not* citizens is *more* concerning, for the obvious reason that citizens are generally less vulnerable so the threat has less power. But what's mind-boggling is that in the current environment, as the landlord lawyer knew, ICE might pick up citizens too.

The kicker? Every member of the family is a U.S. citizen.

Ladies, you have to use AI, it's the future because it makes tasks so easy but also it's really hard to learn so you definitely can't just start using it once you're required to at work, you have to go through an arduous process first to figure out how to use this tool which simplifies everything.

They killed Breonna Taylor in her own home, lied on a warrant, and now they want one day like it’s a parking ticket.
This isn’t justice
it’s a damn insult.

Today, we honor the lives of John Lewis and Eric Garner.
John Lewis dedicated his life to creating an America where everyone is equal. In his honor, and in memory of Eric Garner, we must continue our fight for true justice and equality for everyone in this nation.
outrageous. you are responsible for the moral and ethical choices you make as a lawyer. the people you work for and against (and in this case, the public) have a right to know if you are conflicted.
cowardly and unethical, the whole thing.
It’s mind-blowing to me that there’s not a single corporate news outlet with an update about Dems walking out of a hearing over republicans not following the rules to advance the judicial nomination of a guy who told the courts to fuck off. Nothing on WaPo or NYT yet. Just wild.
