Four people pose together behind the Boston City Council President’s desk in what appears to be a municipal council chamber. The person in the center, Ruthzee, wears a dark blazer, flanked by three others - one in a checkered blazer holding what appears to be a gavel, one wearing a red β€œBoston University” sweatshirt, and one in a red and black jacket.

The setting shows the formal chamber environment with blue curtains in the background, American and city flags, and the nameplate β€œRUTHZEE LOUIJEUNE” visible on the wooden desk. A digital timer displays β€œ0:00” on the desk surface. This appears to be either a youth engagement event, student visit, or educational program allowing young people to experience the council chamber setting.

This is a highlights infographic from Ruthzee Louijeune, Boston City Council President, featuring a purple and teal color scheme. The document lists four key accomplishments with green checkmarks:

1. The Council adopted legislation allowing small businesses with beer and wine liquor licenses to apply for all-alcohol licenses, enabling restaurants to offer more options to customers and increase profit margins.
1. Councilors filed a hearing order regarding legalizing Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) in every neighborhood throughout Boston.
1. The Council passed a grant to support aging residents in the city.
1. Resolutions were filed to raise the Nigerian and Italian flags at City Hall.

The infographic uses the same visual design elements as previous council communications, with the highlights presented in an easy-to-read format against the branded background.

Here’s a recap of some of what we did at the Boston City Council meeting today! And We were glad to have students in Chambers from Boston University.

It took me decades to get over believing my parenting was responsible for my kid’s audhd. This crap comes out just in time for my daughters to be emerging as adults in this timeline. The blame and the conspiracies are just rehash but with considerably more influence and (false) legitimacy.

I’m very sorry. This is a huge loss for you and the industry.

Today, I was laid off from Cascade PBS along with my entire team and most of the newsroom. I'll have more to say, but I have loved my time as news editor alongside some of the best journalists I have ever worked with. Every time a newsroom closes, stories go with it. The silence that follows is loud

Today was a sad day in Seattle journalism. As someone who read and followed Cascade PBS's work every day (for my job), they produced unique and compelling work week in and week out. This will be a big loss...

At this point, it's all a team effort to better report on our community no matter where you're working. You get that story. I'll get this one. Even together, we'll never get to it all. Not enough local reporters left!

I love and support our local town newspaper. It really is important and I think in smaller ish towns it’s very important. Also on a side note n local journalism can affect your bond rating which can increase the interest rate the town has to borrow money. Shout out to The Burlington Buzz

You start out with such dehumanizing language and expect people to read this? This is garbage without clicking the link.

Dear god don’t give this guy legitimacy. Every day it’s more insane. Your press can’t take this and run. It will take root and you will be cooked with us. This is so very dangerous.

If you get a respirator with activated charcoal I’m on board. Your expertise has carried me this far. Air travel isn’t what it was even a decade ago.

Ugh. I don’t blame them. I don’t think I can trust my fellow Americans. Keeping circles tight for survival. It’s an awful feeling.

Update: I offered the amendment. Not to refuse acceptance of the Qatari jet; just to prohibit Trump from taking it with him when he leaves office - after the taxpayers spend $1 billion to retrofit it.

Failed 14-15. Every single Republican voted to allow Trump to take the jet.

Wow the folks on Threads are not playing around

calling for threads and Instagram to reinstate us after banning us for no stated reason, with no warnings given, appears to be the #1 trending topic there

We appreciate this more than y’all know πŸ™πŸ½

I can’t believe ADHD was completely left out of this equation. Doom boxes, extreme effort in starting a task and then hyper focus meaning exhaustion and the β€œ I will need this later” is so huge. Autism briefly mentioned and then tossed off. This disease of hoarding needs mental health treatment

I think it can depend on who you follow. I feel like it’s more like Twitter but it’s still too new and I haven’t engaged as much. So much going on it’s hard to put it straight.
