I attended the No Kings protest in Gainesville, GA. The @wsbtv2.bsky.social Channel 2 helicopter hovered over and took pictures at 2:45pm, when the protest wasn't set to start until 3:00pm until 4:30pm. Peak crowd was near 4:00pm, so WSB's pictures are misleading as to crowd size in Gainesville.

It's not the country I grew up in.
It's not the country I wanted.
It's not the country I hoped for.
And yet, it's the country America wanted.
And it turns out I'm the odd man out.

And he surrounds himself with people who are equally adept at all his sins.
Yet you extol him as supreme leader.
Supposed Christians, ignoring every freaking lesson Jesus brought them, tell me that this is their man.
I am disgusted with this America.

We're supporting warlike behavior that says we can take what we covet.

That is who Donald Trump is.
He lies. He steals. He bullies. He covets. He lays with other women. He is vain. He is prideful.
He is the very example of everything we teach our kids not to be.

My biggest disappointment though is seeing, for maybe the first time, who America really is.
Who they support. What they support.
We're not striving for a better, more peaceful path.
It turns out we're stuck in the past, yearning for our racist and bigoted policies again.

I work for the US government.
I have seen so many fine, brilliant people that have either been let go or have been forced out by the chaos.
I have not personally been in that crucible yet because I am a contractor.
My time will come when it is time to renew the contract.

I am so fucking upset with every goddamn Trump voter.
You were told what would happen if he were elected.
You were told about Project 2025.
And you still voted for the fucker.
And he's making everything come true that you were warned about.

The suggestion is valid IF people can afford it. But the time to buy was yesterday. I saw Walmart employees out in force this morning throughout the store as I ducked in there for some printer paper. I suspect they were already working on the prices.
