I really don't think it is safe to assume, but whatever. If you think Scott Cawthon is a full-on fascist, and choose to not watch the movie, whatever. That's your choice. But don't go after anyone who does decide to watch it. Wanting to watch a fucking movie won't mean you're suddenly a fascist.

I wasn't speaking for myself. I wasn't planning to see it. I haven't even seen the first movie. The last statement was about the general public, those who either don't know about the donations or don't factor in politics in their monetary decisions, and saying you shouldn't assume the worst of them.

Once again, this is all just assuming the worst. It's not impossible this is the case, but I think it's unlikely, given his history of being generally transparent about a lot of things, plus the hundreds of thousands he's donated to charities. He doesn't seem like one to do/say things *just* for PR.

Fair enough, I suppose. I don't personally think that's a reasonable conclusion, but it's still your monetary decision; you're allowed to boycott it if you don't support Scott. Just don't assume people who decide to watch it do support his decisions. They usually just want to see the movie.

June 2021 was over four years ago. The highest amount of Trump supporters I've seen backpedal has been during this past eight months. Not that I firmly believe he was one of the people who did that, but I'm not gonna immediately assume the worst of someone because of what they did several years ago.

Well there's no reason to doubt he's changed either. Unless there's actual evidence he's still donating to awful politicians, I'm not going to immediately assume the worst of him.

I was outside eating a burrito and wanted to give the last bite to one of my dogs but the other walked up when I was trying to give it to him, and I didn't have a knife to cut it, so I distracted the second dog with pets while I gave the burrito to the first dog. He owes me one.

Is there proof that he's continued to do this recently? I'm genuinely asking because when I try to look this up I only see results from years ago when the controversy happened, so I'm wondering if it's still an issue or if people only believe he still does it because he did it years ago.
