I have noticed with MAGA and trump is a lack of comprehension of complexity. Its sort of the driving aspect of their rejection of science, medicine, and planning in general. trump exemplifies this massively. He can only manage to come up with broad ideas and orders his minions to do it.

trump has a room temperature operating intelligence. BUT... Narcissists and Psychopaths like him often develop high social adaptivity. This allows them to read the room and if they are a grifter play the crowd by echoing back what they are saying. And this is why so many think he is smart. He isn't.
