Seems like ~1/3 & ~1/2 are both true, depending on what you're comparing to. Methane [is] responsible for ~47% of total obs. warming (1.07 degC); in comparison with the warming attributable to all well-mixed GHGs (~34%); and the temp. increase due to all warming agents (incl. aeresols etc) (~28%).

Thank you, Annie. Yes, the numbers in this article and the figure came from that Global Methane Budget (published in 2025), the UN FAO (for biomass burning methane attributed to the food system), and in consultation with one of the authors of the Global Methane Budget.

We lost two neighbors today to ICE abductions. The kids are off school tomorrow but we'll be at a different elementary school packing boxes for families too afraid to leave their homes.

We are more organized each day and we won't stop until these assholes leave.

Fair. For my day job, I think about protein from a climate and environment perspective. In that case, plant proteins are almost always better for climate.

Ok. Plant proteins have more carbs, animal protein more saturated fat.

Don't plant proteins (beans, lentils, nuts) typically contain fiber and animal proteins not?
I'm always confused why dietary guidance always lists animal sources in front of plant sources because of this.
