Are you referring in some way to our 'Labor' government that votes with the sworn enemies of the working class to pass anti union legislation?

On this basis Tasmanian salmon is a huge success.
Why are they so happy?
It must be fun to torture the wretched and the powerless.
To exploit them for domestic political power.
Most likely it will end in chaos as has often been the case throughout history.
As a confirmed atheist I often think about Mark 8:36 in the Bible;
"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?"
I'm looking at you Elon Musk.
The rich and the powerful are terrified of a well educated, well informed, healthy populace.
If this were not such a danger to them they would not be so relentless in defunding and destroying public institutions.
The degradation of public institutions is a worldwide trend.

Who voted to make Australia a prime nuclear target?

And remain in that entitled bubble.

Our fearless leaders want just a small elite of intelligent, well educated people and are constitutionally afraid of anything or anyone they don't understand.
The general acquisition of knowledge can lead to some very awkward questions and we can't have that now, can we?
The phrase pychosocial hazard comes to mind reading this.

They never understand education nor the fact that all knowledge is useful.
They never see that society is degraded by ignorance because they don't value people and will often flaunt ignorance as though it were desirable.
There seems to be a global movement to degrade public education of the masses through direct attacks on teaching as a profession.
Underfund schools so teachers chip in supplies from their own pockets. Then pick the teachers’ pockets while administrators refuse to support them.
Exactly.
This kid has also discovered Tor but only wants to understand it rather than use it.
Far smarter than any government minister.

Teacher enthusiasm is drained by barbarous working conditions and parental support is very hard to provide when you need to work two jobs just to afford food.
In completely unrelated news the great majority of our fearless leaders went to private schools.
My nine year old grandson has worked out how to use a VPN and what they are for.
He's bored with that now and has moved on.
The best response to Australia's looming media ban is from a fifteen year old girl on the ABC news.
'It's very good for my generation ' she opined.
She then assured us that she had found a way around it anyway, without the slightest awareness that there might be a contradiction here somewhere.
We are swamped by barely competent middle managers many of whom style themselves CEOs
They are nothing more than pedestrian functionaries who understand nothing but mediocrity, who mistake management methods for innovation and who are terrified of anyone they suspect might be smarter than they are.

A deliberate invitation for abuse.
If you were to design a system to invite exploitation, at all levels, you could not do better than the current one.
These schemes are for the enrichment of the already wealthy. Nothing more.

On reflection I think you have chosen to blame the victim.
If a few poor people got to spend some disability money on sex workers this looks to me to be better value than overseas junkets for govt ministers.
Here's what you should be looking at.

Yes, from this distance (Australia) the US looks to be a massive disaster.
Our public health, as filled with potholes and inadequacies as it is, might be one of the best.
Where does this information originate?. There may have been rip offs but I haven't seen any proof of relentlessness. That sounds like propaganda to me.
In any case that is no reason to deny genuine disability the assistance that is a human right.
We don't need policing.
We need compassion.
Unfortunately he would never have considered Sortism.
Anyone volunteering for politics should be banned for life. We would be best governed by unwilling conscripts.
Consider how Labor has had considerable opportunity to undo the damage done by that bastard Morrison regarding non-STEM tertiary study and yet nothing has been done.
We know that *ALL* knowledge is useful and yet the arts are treated as some sort of frippery.
Legislation to make both the wearing of glasses and the failure to wear glasses illegal is quite possibly before parliament now.

How long until the book burning starts?
Our government is founded on democracy, you say, and then tell me it's founded on corruption.
Well perhaps you are right.
Democracy = corruption.
Oh, and by the way, comparisons with private enterprise are irrelevant here.
This sort of program can only be done properly by government.
Government is not legally required to air their dirty laundry.
The current government is mired in secrecy. Just have a look at the arrangements recently signed with Nauru.
Government *is* the problem because it is inherently corrupt and founded on bias towards the wealthy and powerful.
