Transparency is only a priority when in opposition.
Whenever I see the name 'Tudge' I can't help thinking of a very small male organ.
I'm deeply ashamed of this immaturity but I can't help feeling that it's particularly appropriate for Tudge himself.
A man who is very small on the inside.
It's time to acknowledge that Newscorpse is a spent force.
No ethical government would fail to do that which they know to be right for fear of criticism.
The majority of Australians want a more equitable society.
Exactly.
There's no housing crisis.
No mass immigration crisis.
We do have a greed crisis though, and with a government committed to serving capital rather than people the gaps just keep on getting bigger.
Don't forget lies, lies, lies and lies.
Also exploitation.
Pauline Hanson looking very smarmy draped with the Australian flag.
Smarmy Hanson is very successful at promoting hate for the oppressed, and love for the oppressors.
Deport all the immigrants but you won't solve any of the problems because they were created by capitalism.
Immigrants are not the problem.
Untaxed wealth is the problem.

Our fearless leader don't want a frank and fearless public service any more than they want an inquisitive, investigative media.
They want enquiries with conclusions to order and a media that serves up mediocre crap, sap, pap and more crap.
Much like what we have now.
The best and the permanent go first because they are the most influential and expensive.
The organisation flounders, is declared redundant and sold off.
This is how you set something up for failure.
Smart move.

I also have seen large public organisations defunded, degraded and sold off.
I left with a package and considerable resentment.
You spend years making an effort and they discard you like yesterday's paper.
If they sack Deloitte who will give them the opinions they have paid for?
The Public Service was rather awkwardly committed to facts and we can't have that, can we?
Exactly and the associated costs are just part of doing business with government.
No significant consequences for anyone, except the taxpayer if course.
We had a public service once and it's dismemberment, commenced by Little Johnny and continued enthusiastically ever since, is almost complete.
None of our fearless leaders want frank and fearless advice, they want the opinions they pay for.

This is not some sort of error it's deliberate fraud.
So what is the lesson? Well, obviously, it's don't get caught.

My question exactly.
Why is *anything* this fellow does or says worthy of a platform?
Had he been in any other line of work he would be in gaol but our fearless leader has awarded him the Order of Australia.
He continues to fail upwards
I think Morrison has awarded himself one in secret.

Is there a Nobel prize for lying?
I can think of something else you probably had in plentiful supply that does float.

Father's Day, Mother's Day, world cabbage day....
The whole concept of many special days has been made trivial by commercialisation.
I struggle with anything like this really.
Your experience gives it some context.
For me most of these things are meaningless.
Exactly.

It could be because they're difficult to monetise and exploit.
Halloween. Just another opportunity to sell plastic crap.
Astonishing really but then coincidences do occur.

It's almost as though the gambling industry was infested with superannuated politicians lobbying their maaaaaates for untrammeled license to rob the most vulnerable.
Gambling affects most the very people Labor is supposed to represent and defend.

You are exactly right.
Almost anything looks good compared to the Libs.
You'll have to forgive my taking so long to reply but I've been washing my hair in the toilet and drying it in the microwave.
