I've decided to check out Emma Mae first.

Admittedly, I've only ever seen Penitentiary, which I quite liked.

People don't realize how many easily ignored genre films like Penitentiary do a better job of giving more insight into hot button issues than most of the festival circuit films that are labelled "important".

Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❀️ πŸ‡§πŸ‡·

Remembering MN house speaker Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark and their beloved dog Gilbert. Murdered in June at their home by a rightwing Trump-voting evangelist, who also shot another MN lawmaker and his wife at THEIR home, 9 and 8 times, respectively (miraculously, they survived).

We don't have to (and shouldn't) mourn him. But we should not confuse irony with justice.

As far as comedic stories go, this walked so Blowjob at the End of the World could run.

Yeah. With everything going on, I figured you would have your hands full. That's why I haven't been bugging you about your progress. I suspect it'll be your most ambitious story once all is said and done.

One of your more atmospheric stories. I remember you saying you planned for it to be he start of an anthology. Hopefully you're able to do it someday.

Fuck ICE. Impede them at every opportunity. Mock them. Bully them.

I really want America to remember its rebel spirit, which has somehow been soured & twisted in recent years to aim at... HR departments & Ivy League schools. Those are not the oppressors! The guys with the guns are the oppressors!

Fucking nice, indeed.

It's so refreshing to watch a sequel that doesn't feel like cynical nostalgia bait. It carves its own path and has something to contribute beyond dusting off an IP.

I only like him in roles where he's meant to be unlikable. Election will always be his best role for this reason.

Murder isn't a healthy way to work through one's moral hang-ups and traumas but you try telling that to the antagonists in tonight's double feature:

In light of Gaiman's allegations, there have been so many posts along the lines of "Ha! I never liked his work anyway..." or something to that effect. Using the sexual abuse of others as an opportunity to flex about your taste in literature is very strange to me.

The idea of a German death metal band digging up F.W. Murnau and performing an occult ritual with his skull isn't that far fetched honestly.

This story is so earnest without being schmaltzy, which is quite the accomplishment.
