The late, great, keenly lamented Winnie was our DJ most evenings, but every time I tried to join in singing, I was slapped hard across the face.
Unrelated to this thread, but Credence Clearwater recorded "Proud May" long before Tina Turner.
Participation trophy?
This seems like a good time to remind voters that just 20 Republican senators could end this global nightmare today if they took their oaths seriously.
Stop blaming Democrats.
I didn't know leftover pizza was a thing. Who knew? 🤔
When we began downsizing, we decided to stop buying books, and honestly, I developed a huge sense of "library guilt." To make things right with the universe, when I enjoy a book, I purchase it to give to friends. Win-win for me.
Yellow snow, one would hope.
Love it. But what's a check? 😉
Exactly. Once upon a time, I held onto every book I ever owned. Finally bit the bullet, and donated 80%, still have probably too many. If I want to reread something, I go online.
Well, I'm following you, for what it's worth. Happy New Year!
That's exactly my experience. Since forever, I felt honor bound to finish any book I started. A few years ago, I realized life is too short to waste it reading books that don't appeal.
Amen. We're mostly plant based, but on the rare occasion when we ate chicken, we got if from a local organic farmer whose birds roamed large grassy areas where much of their diet came from hunting and pecking.
I had to avoid the elliptical due to knee issues. Started swimming at age 40 (!) and dropped 4 dress sizes. Swimming is the best for toning all over. Very calming and I found it very easy to meditate during a swim.
Tears of happiness ran down Santa's face...
That's brilliant.
As I told one of mine, Next time do it on the floor and not my open handbag." True story.

People don't realize how important preexisting conditions are. You can be denied any coverage -- not just for the preexisting -- due to some very common conditions, like high blood pressure, prediabetes, etc. We were denied coverage once because of a medication my husband took for a week as a child.
If a journalist contacts you, an academic, for comment on a spurious AI product you don’t have to say yes. You can decline & you can resist the temptation to see your name on CNN’s site. Your voice will only be used to legitimize something that has no legitimacy, even if your quote casts doubt on it
We always keep some back, carry the extra cash in our pockets, and give them to strangers whose paths we cross during the holidays if they look like they could use it.
Exactly.

📌Erika Kirk was married to a racist, homophobic, and misogynistic man, who was tragically cut down by one of the millions of guns he told us were an acceptable cost of preserving Republicans' bastardized understanding of the 2nd Amendment.
I feel badly for her, but spare me her thoughts on ANYTHING.
I like "Grandma," and "12 days," but agree on the rest. I do have to add "Step into Christmas" ... Elton John
Perfect for those who think the daily commute on the interstate is a video game.
Same. Along with reading mediocre Christmas mysteries.
