โDevices are not dangerous for literature.
People can be dangerous for literature.
People, for example, who do not read.โ

So, Sunday Times runs with latest poll showing Farage winning if there was an election now. But makes NO mention of Reformโs collusion with Russia. And this is how democracy gets beaten to death in the dark. Voters are not being told the truth. Reform is given the stage but is NEVER held to account.

Definately some of his key advisors need to go! Get back to grassroots issues, listen to constituents not pollsters, and start to bring in policies to help young people rather than it all being about retired voters!

โTrumpโs state visit to the UK is in essence realpolitik gaslighting, in which we are told a man who is threatening to take over the police force of the US capital should have been gifted the literal red carpet treatment (and the Red Arrows).โ

18.09.2025 05:28 โ ๐ 7888 ๐ 4278 ๐ฌ 1394 ๐ 1391The right to speak our minds and to disagree with each other - to disturb, even - is at the very heart of what it means to be a free people. It is not to be denied. Not by violence, not by the abuse of governmental power, nor by acts of corporate cowardice. As a Guild, we stand united in opposition to anyone who uses their power and influence to silence the voices of writers, or anyone who speaks in dissent. If free speech applied only to ideas we like, we needn't have bothered to write it into the Constitution. What we have signed on to - painful as it may be at times - is the freeing agreement to disagree. Shame on those in government who forget this founding truth. As for our employers, our words have made you rich. Silencing us impoverishes the whole world. The WA stands with Jimmy Kimmel and his writers.
