In a universe with as much sex pollen as SVSSS? No.
Did he enjoy it and was it ever anything but a medical necessity? Also no.
Also worth remembering David Lynch spent the last years of his life in isolation to avoid covid, so if you're gonna have 'Fix Your Hearts or Die' in your bio, you better be wearing a mask around your immunocompromised friends.
Wow, do we think they medicated you at all?
💯
It delights me but I’m not sure it will delight others and the goal would be to delight others.
So. I am on the fence.
Event season is here. Test the con crud, find out what you have, don't nyquil&pray potentially serious illness.
Here is 4-in-1 COVID + FLU A/B + RSV home tests for $15. This is the exact combo that costs you $400-500 at urgent care.
Covid-only tests as cheap as $4.

Okay folks someone tell me this is a bad idea.
A d8 with a skzoo on each face, numbered in age order so you can use it to play D&D but it’s also recognizably SKZ fan merch.
Black and red dice with white lettering and skzoos.

Hi! SkyFeed is struggling and I need to find a solution.
If you don't know SkyFeed, it's a service I built 2 years ago, enabling anyone to build and publish feeds using a visual block-based editor.
SkyFeed is still hosting the most feeds on Bluesky, but that comes at a cost [1/X]
I think this story is a really good example for people to look at when it comes to understanding bias at NYT. It's not that the reporter, Dana Rubinstein, says anything outright false. But the framing, word choices, etc., add up to an unprofessional and biased account.
Rainy day in bird kingdom
Oh those are delightful

He’s also really well informed about printing technology and the kinds of ink they use, I think. Some of it is he needs to know what will work in a talisman, but some of it is that GCC got involved in a printing-focused charity and chattered everyone’s ears off for a month straight & he listened.
I can think of three or four bindings I’ve cataloged that I expect he would appreciate.
Histories of the cultivation world, I think?
If his collection happens to have a focus on no longer extant sects and a lot of unsourced oral histories, well, didn’t Wei Wuxian start teaching the importance of oral storytelling traditions at the Lan lectures?
Surely that’s why.
He leaves the spring books to NHS (though that’s what he says if anyone he wants to shock asks!) and the poetry to JC.
Actually his library is full of really dense cultivation treatises on the obscure corners of cultivation that tend to escape people’s notice. The more abstruse the better.
Okay this is kind of silly but… what about beauty and the beast retellings and older editions of the “original” fairy tale, especially those in fine bindings.
Deceptively fond of television, for someone born when it was in its infancy.
I’m gonna say he collects ephemera of some kind. Flyers for stage magicians who are all scams, or old snake oil cure broadsheets, something like that. They don’t take up much space but the way they change over time …
Don’t know enough about him to say, sadly. Give me someone else?
Good night, everyone

Writing meme time.
Give me a character and I’ll tell you what kind of book they’d collect.
Very nice!
Sure! Let’s run with that. He needs to rebuild an entire sect — he needs a LOT of kids.
It’s a balance I would guess —you want a wife whose talent for cultivation is demonstrated but not one whose cultivation is so high as to endanger her fertility. Might explain why we see so few really accomplished young ladies, if they’re trying to preserve their marriageability along multiple axes
Maybe his cultivation level isn’t that high, or wasn’t that high 20-odd years ago? Maybe it kicks in later for men than for women?
I’ve seen it speculated in some cnovels that at a certain level of cultivation women become infertile. (Most obviously and explicitly explained in … MisVill I think?) What if men do too. If the trade off for potential bodily immortality is the potential death of your bloodline?
