Mamdani and Mikie Sherrill, who won the governor’s race in New Jersey, were even more affirming in their support for trans rights. All three major candidates were laser-focused on affordability, telling voters in detailed ways how Trump has harmed them, and how they would build a broader society together rather than trying to tear it apart.

Despite having different ideologies, all three major candidates—Abigail Spanberger, Mikie Sherrill, and Zohran Mamdani—were laser-focused on how Donald Trump has damaged Americans' lives and how they'd fix things.

And all 3 also rejected establishment Democrats' advice to abandon trans people.

This is the fundamental question of the year, isn't it? If an idea that was once taboo has become normalized, do you have a right to continue to treat it and its adherents with moral repugnance, or are you obliged to bow to the shifting bounds of public opinion?
