Of course, this is exactly the kind of thing TACO would do...not really a jest.

Tax Day Is Met With Tea Parties (Published 2009)

Here's a gift link to the New York Times' coverage of the initial Tea Party rallies in April 2009 which inspired the media to treat it like a massive movement.

Check out how tiny the crowds were:

Philly: 200
DC: "several hundred"
Boston: 500
Austin: 1,000
Houston: 2,000

It is f**king terrifying that this was ever in the legislation to begin with.

Will major news outlets have the balls to call the Pentagon on this and create a news block on Hegseth?

Perhaps they should resign if they are too afraid to stand up to totalitarianism, or do the right thing.

Is Karl Rove on his death bed? this Reminds me of 1980s GOP strategist Lee Atwater's end-of-life conversion to Catholicism and his myriad apologies for all the truly shitty things he did to help George Bush win against Dukakis. Atwater's tactics formed the basis of Project 2025.

Apparently, the White House is *not* getting our "NO KINGS" message. (Look at the two crowns.) We are being governed by trolls.

He's the TACO's very good puppy. He knows how to shake and to roll over.

WTAF? Every senator over the age of 70 needs to effing retire. If you can't do even minimal homework, and your prep consists of taking advice from the most partisan of GOP members of the senate, you are not an "independent" and you are admitting that you are too flipping old for the job.

"My photographer got hit twice by less than lethal rounds and he's got blood on one of his arms and we just took off running with the entire crowd. It was absolutely chaotic."

Yes, I absolutely believe that all air controllers should be forced to continue working well into their 80s and 90s. 😱

Regardless of Lutnick's asinine assumption that this is either possible or desirable in the US, hasn't Apple pursued the goal of 50% automation in the assembly of iPhones anyway?

Ha ha, this is so rich. Elon clearly has a huge daddy complex and this extends to slavishly imitating all the things his "chosen papa," the current president, has done for decades: stiff the people who work for you.

The lies will only come denser and faster as we all push back, taking up Senator Booker's call for a renewed commitment to John Lewis's good trouble. That will be the proof that the truth is landing more and more accurately on the targets that are most corrupt.

This is the "leave no trace" "cover our tracks" "archives are evil" administration.

Thank you Senator Booker for providing much needed inspiration and good trouble before the April 5 protests. We all need to stand up like you just did.

Nor did it have a front page story on Senator Booker's historic speech on the Senate floor.

I'm just sick. So hard to be a Democrat right now. I worked so hard for Catherine Cortez Masto--walked precincts in Las Vegas, made campaign donations, all from Calif. I wonder if she would have won without the help of us Californians. And then she punted on the most important vote in her career.
