Saw a bird today.
It caught a fish and flew away.
That wasn’t a poem. It just rhymed on accident

…after the last five-ish (though certainly more) years of fighting with depression, and what feels like a lifetime of of struggling to know what to write, it feels incredible to finally submit something I can feel proud of. Regardless of the competition’s outcome, this is monumental. Thank God
Tonight I submitted a short 1 act play to a local theater playwriting competition. It’s a semi-autobiographical piece about a conversation with a version of my pre-transitioned self. It’s the first time I’ve ever really done something like this, and it feels so good. But, more importantly…
My dad had polio. He was born 4 years before the vaccine came out. It really is a horrific disease. It wrecked his body for his entire life. Postpolio syndrome was especially difficult in his later years. Not excited for the possibility of it’s return
Nothing to see here. Just a heard of cyber trucks grazing in their natural habitat. The earth is healing ❤️
“He who saves his country” is so fucking vague and subjective. I think that’s what makes this statement so dangerous. “Saves his country”? By what metric? “Any law”? Literally any? I believe that is what we call tyranny.
‘You Can’t Let This Happen,’ Says Fundraising Email From Sitting U.S. Congressperson
There are people who don’t know who Kendrick Lamar is? 😦
Great point.
Hey NYTimes — *now* you’re lighting the beacons? NOW?!? After months of “Sauron: Avatar Of Evil… Or Extreme Uniter?” thumbsucker reporting you’re screaming what we’ve known since 2015? Fuck all the way off.
You are not powerless, and he is not unstoppable. Look at, and learn from, the funding freeze and how quickly he was forced to surrender.
Important to note that DOGE is *still* not an official government agency and Musk has *still* not been confirmed by Congress.
Had a top surgery consultation this week. I found it strangely encouraging that, after months of fear I wouldn’t be able to get the procedure this year (or at all), everything there was business as usual.
The ONLY positive about that horrific video the White House posted this morning is that the people in the comments are NOT having it.
Interesting enough, we used to have proxy voting so folks could vote while they’re sick or other reasons.
House Republicans eliminated proxy voting last session. If you aren’t in the building, you can’t vote. So, if you’re in the hospital, your 750,000 constituents lose their voice on the issue.
Also the use of the word “Blitz” feels intentional and disgusting. Like some rightwing edgelord staffer was snickering to himself when he wrote that one for “trolling the libs” 🤮 #FECA #campaignfunds #politicalquestion #hellhole
My deadname email account still gets bombarded with Trump emails from when I was conservative. Usually I ignore them, but this one caught my eye. Question: does anyone know if a sitting president still request campaign donations? That seems shady tbh but I genuinely do not know how it works.
In light of the new Meta update, it’s time to dust off the ole Shakespearean glossary and find names/words that I CAN call transphobes after they call me mentally ill. “Fopdoodle” is a fun one 😆
Cheers to three years! 🏳️⚧️
I have had two people tell me I look like Ned Flanders in the last 24 hours and I’m never wearing this shirt again
