Over the last couple of months there’s been so much stuff in my personal life affecting my ability to create. As I am coming out the other end, I am more determined than ever to create for myself first and foremost and trust in that. Creating alone is both challenging, scary and freeing.

Seabury Quinn was the most prolific author at WEIRD TALES. His Jules de Grandin occult detect series ran to 93 stories over ~99 issues, not counting reprints. I've read them all twice. For my sins.

Rest in peace Itagaki, one of the GOATs. He didn't just make awesome games but also changed countless people's views on what action games could & should be. Actually had a really strong vision on how to push the genre forward, directly shaping people's tastes

I worked (albeit distantly) with Itagaki san on Devil's Third. He was 100% his public persona professionally; passionate, enigmatic, abrasive and hilarious. His English turn of phrase was singular and wonderful. As he signed off back then:

Today I lost someone who was truly like a brother to me. I am gutted to the core. I guess I can say so now that it's on his Facebook page. He even listed himself as my actual brother on Facebook. Anyone who knows me knows how close we were. RIP, senpai. You will always be a ninja.

I fucking knew Capcom were trying to replace the classic RE trilogy with the remakes, which makes the issues with 2R and 3R even worse. You need to be familiar with og re2's story to make sense of the gaps in 2R's plot and 2R still doesn't line up correctly with re6 since Leon doesn't save Sherry!

I don't ever want to hear "oh but remakes aren't replacements you can still play the originals!" when this is how Capcom felt about the original RE games before it took serious convincing from GOG to bring them back.

Konami likely feels the same about SH2 and the audience doesn't care.
