Yes, it’s mosaic knitting. I have this mosaic crochet project in progress. I just need to decide when it’s done and then start the border.

I love it! I did the same thing when I first started knitting. Then I won a contest which included a lot of high quality yarn. I was totally intimidated by the pattern that came with it and was afraid to waste it. When I finally mustered up the courage to try, this was the result. Now I fear nothing
