A male Siskin feeding on Alder cones along the River Dearne at Wilthorpe, Barnsley yesterday. Probable migrant, although they breed nearby on the edge of the Pennines. #birds #birdphotography #ukbirding #nature #siskin

Having moved house this year I had the same problem and about 80% went to recycle. Also my British Birds and British Wildlife but past issues of these can be accessed via their archives.

Fly agaric Amanita mascara in the local woodland. Usually found under Silver Birch toxic to humans but eaten by some animals. This has survived so far. #fungi

Unseasonably hot weather up here on Tiree. Beaches not too busy with humans but a scattering of wader from Greenland ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฑ and Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ on the move south. #birds #migration

Well captured and a great image Peter. Surely worth entering this in some photography competition.
