In the past 27yrs, Nigeriaβs healthcare budget has mostly been under 6%, and yet we hope that its healthcare problems will somehow be fixed. No amount of hope and prayers will save a country of 200+million people from the hands of 4-5% national budget for its health sector.

I do have a problem though with the description of women being (forcibly) married to Boko Haram fighters. There is no marriage of any kind, if you use those words you are buying into the narrative of the oppressor. This is rape, sexual enslavement and gender based violence. Language matters.

It took me 13 years to discover the terrace with the best view in Lagos. Unfortunately, it is members only, or by invite from a member. Now contemplating if befriending yaught club members for G&T with a view would be too elitist a move for an anti-capitalist against privatisation of public spaces.
