From what im reading, some of these support requests where for appealing the OSA check, but largely it was probably a phishing attack against a support agent which gave them access to the zendesk

its their support system, not the age verification stuff, ID's are involved because they had a bad system of requiring you to send it to support, from before OSA, IIRC it was because of apple they initally added a age check, then added the 3rd party services(that dont give discord your ID)

i looked at the methodology for this and it is
