A good watch. Still of the mindset that Le Bris and the team will see what we see and more and do their best to solve things. Tactics are rather intricate these days. I’ll leave that to the pros. I’m off to work for the week and will be there next Saturday to do my job as a fan. Keep the faith.

Wasn’t an easy job to take on.

Yes, that was my thinking. This team seems very ‘level’ with few highs and few lows. I’ve loads of exciting game memories from Mowbray’s Sunderland but feel not as many from this team. However, this team is statistically better. A real conundrum. 🤔

When did we actually last play well and we watched a game which was relatively enjoyable as a spectacle?

Tommy was poor today. Offered nothing defensively. Prefer Mayenda out there.

When did we last actually play really well as a whole team and for more than 45 minutes. It’s starting to feel a very, very long time ago.

We really shouldn’t rush things, something which I feel happens in modern football far too often. I’d bring him on in Center mid after an hour. I’m desperate to see him and coming up for the game but sometimes you have to have what you need and not what you want.

Seems to be too many 45min halves where we’re just rather woeful. However, for balance, this team, on paper, is young up front, got kids out of position and one coming back from injury before leaving. Perhaps just indicative of a young, inexperienced and injury-prone squad.

Is it me or do we struggle with throw ins?

Battled away and got the job done. Always live games on a knife edge this Sunderland team and keep us on the edge of our seats.
