The final candidate from our lab this year was Marie Hirel, who defended her thesis on social evaluation and partner choice in Tonkean macaques. She was supervised by Steffi Keupp and worked at the Strasbourg primate center. S

Last week, Lisa Ohrndorf defended her thesis on the Movement Ecology of wild Guinea baboons with an excellent presentation. She combined phenology data, camera trap data and GPS waypoints to see in which way food availability and predator presence affected the fission-fusion dynamics of the baboons
