Had a fantastic afternoon at the Tynemouth Aquarium. The highlight for me, after watching the hobbits having fun, was the octopus giving us a full display. Fascinating creatures! Excuse Logan’s hand; he was going for a high five!

Such a lovely review on my book of haiku, ‘Rumination’. I love that she describes the haiku as introspective as ‘Introspection’ is the title of the follow-up that is my current WIP.

A huge list of books and audiobooks this month. I think my favourite audiobook was ‘The Benevolent Society of Ill-Mannered Ladies’ and the sequel. And for the physical read, I really enjoyed ‘The Lost and the Departed’ by C. A. Deegan.

My reads for the month of June. I’ve had three excellent indie reads this month: Ashleigh Reverie, Helen Huber, Katherine Black and the audiobooks of Empire of the Vampire/Damned by Jay Kristoff were excellent. A month for nostalgia too!

My eggs have hatched. I have lots of little baby ladybirds. I’m guessing that they’re harlequins. I’d better go on an aphid hunt!

I didn’t get quite so many reads in this month, mainly because a couple just didn’t capture my interest. I even had a dreaded DNF! A couple of really good ones though. V.E. Schwab is a new author for me. I can always rely on Jodi Taylor. Five of my books this month were rereads!

Last year I found a hairy caterpillar which I thought was probably an ermine moth of some description. As it was quite late in the year when it pupated, I decided to overwinter it. I was delighted to find this beautiful white ermine moth today. Handsome wee beastie
