While we recognize prioritizing transit on Dufferin and Bathurst as a step in the right direction, we recommend that City officials revisit and expand the proposed hashtag#RapidTO plan to include a connection to Eglinton, which will soon host the Crosstown LRT. Some local businesses have raised legitimate concerns about reduced car access; however, it is clear that the bigger problem facing businesses in the core is gridlock. With the FIFA World Cup on the horizon, pressure on our already overloaded transportation network will only increase. Toronto needs more dedicated transit lanes to move more people. Toronto Region Board of Trade just endorsed both Bathurst & Dufferin #RapidTO lanes up to Eglinton.

A developer lobby group is legally challenging local green building policies in Ontario that are meant to make new homes less polluting and more community-friendly.

Great point- this tool could bring in hundreds of millions to sustain big investments into TTC service, flood prevention, climate action….where is it hiding?

The Transportation Tomorrow Survey from 2022 that Minister Sarkaria and Doug Ford were hiding has been released. It shows cycling commute mode share is up 300% in Old Toronto since 2001. Now sitting at 11.3% in Old Toronto wards (4, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14), 10x bigger than "1.2%"!
