Take a moment to reach out to the people you care about. Make the effort to maintain relationships.

Surviving isn't good enough, we have to LIVE.

But no one does anything alone.

Jan would have gone Batman and Jace would have gone Emo

So, I’m old.

When I saw Return of the Jedi in the theater, there was kind of a β€œcontroversy” because they raised the price of movie tickets starting with that movie. We still waited in the long line to see it.

But the price for a non-matinee ticket to see it went up to a whopping $4!

Scandalous!

Yeah. We didn’t air that one.

I honestly think Jan and Jace would have ended up just like Hank and Dean Venture from The Venture Bros if they were more present in Space Ghost Coast to Coast

Is it true that the last episode of Tom and Jerry was never aired on TV because they both died in it? Jeff Harris's answer: NO! Let’s clear this rumor right off. Blue Cat Blues, a very dark short released in November 1956 about Tom struggling to find love, is NOT, repeat, IS NOT the final theatrical...

Holy hell.

The Tom & Jerry short Blue Cat Blues aired on MeTV Toons tonight.

Talk about a rarely-seen short.

I don't think Cartoon Network even shows that one.

IYKYK.

If you don't... well, it has quite a reputation that I needed to dispel a long time ago:

Even though "cartoons are made for kids," I don't think you can genuinely appreciate how good or bad something is until it you get to see once you're an adult, because you can pay attention to how it looks and is written, or at least in an entirely different way than you may have as a kid.

Paramount is shifting its focus of the TMNT franchise to a younger audience... Um. And that's different from when?

It's like when WB wanted to refocus on Scooby-Doo being a comedy after SDMI, because whenever they made a joke in SDMI, that apparently wasn't considered comedy.

I think it's a bad idea to do any established action cartoon in that style and that's a problem Roar had no chance of overcoming

11.02.2026 23:25 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Thundercats Roar's biggest problem was the fact that it was trying to chase the success of a cartoon widely regarded as hit or miss and conceptually it doesn't really work on paper. Nobody wanted a rounded down Thundercats it was a bad match

But fascists rarely care for accuracy or details, and yeah the people who were the loudest with complaining about it very frequently had their own agendas and didn't like the idea of someone queer and Jewish being susessful at anything in life let's be real

The person who coined the term "CalArts style" is a known pedophile, and it wasn't even talking about that art style it was his way of discouraging UPA throwback cartoons like Dexter's Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls, so id say that's very on the money

Plus Rebecca Sugar didn't even go to CalArts

My dork writer brain likes to think in toon town lore stuff it's like recessive rubberhose cartoon genetic features reappearing within emerging "2D digital animation"

I don't feel like I can really get mad at it when it's really just a thing because it's cheap and trendy with animation in a present moment, it's nice when things can break from it and it doesn't fit everything but I ultimately don't hate it

My ultimate opinion on the ever controversial "2010s beanmouth" art style (that I'm going not call by that one name for a lot of good reasons)

Is that it is just the return of that 80s Hanna-Barbera-ification that happened to tv animation but with rubberhose features this time
